The Novatron reactor is designed to confine plasma by increasing the magnetic field away from the confinement region. Its concave magnetic field design aims to guarantee confinement and plasma stability.
Novatron aims to build a reactor with low design complexity, using conventional electromagnets. This should achieve a lower capital costs and operating costs.

The company announced they had raised a seed round of €5mm in August 2023 bringing their total investment to €8mm.
